Counselling Support

How our appointment system works:

We do not place any limit on the number of sessions that you attend here, as we believe that every individual works at the level and pace that works best for them.

The demand for our service, however, means we need to ensure that appointment times are used as fully as possible. So....

If you miss a session (without contacting us), we will send you a letter offering you another appointment.

If you cancel several sessions in a row, your Counselling Support Worker (CSW) may ask you to think about whether you can commit to attending counselling at this point in your life.

If you miss 2 sessions, we will send you a letter asking you to contact the office when/if you wish to re-start counselling. Because of our waiting list, we cannot guarantee that you will be offered the same counsellor as before.

Group Support

What Happens After Your First Appointment?

During your first appointment you will be given a letter and a form which outlines the group support programme. You will also be given a stamped addressed envelope (addressed to Safe Safe). If you are interested in any of the group options please fill in the form and send it to us along with the letter in the stamped addressed envelope.

Once we have received the form and the letter from you we will contact you to let you know when the groups you are interested in will be running. As the date approaches for the groups to begin you may receive a phone call from us reminding you that you had expressed interest and asking if you want your name to be included on the list of participants.
