Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival Fife
Safe Space took part in this years Mental Health Arts and Film Festival, in Fife, which was co-ordinated by Shona Davidson, from Fife Adult Protection Unit.
An art exhibition called 'Reflections' was on display at Safe Space, with work also shown in the foyer at the Rothes Halls.
On the 3rd October our Patron, Iain Banks opened the launch of Safe Space writers group anthology ' The Hope of Diamonds' with survivors reading their work to a large audience. It was a wonderful, upbeat and positive event, celebrating the achievement of months of hard work, by the writers group. Mary Gibbon, a tutor with Adult Basic Education, facilitated the group and was delighted to see it culminate in such a great day.
Comments from the day:
"This was so inspirational to all of us survivors"
"The art work deserves to be viewed again and again!"
